About me
My name is Simon Jameson and I run 1066 Creations.
I graduated from Brighton Poly with a BA in Fine Art (Painting) in 1985. I began designing and making models for a Brighton casting company, Lost Worlds, in 1992 and have created over 300 house and garden ornament designs since that time.
All the products you see on this site have been designed and made by me.
I began trading under the name of 1066 Creations in 1996 from a small studio/workshop in Hove, East Sussex. At the beginning of 2000, I moved my casting and model-making activities to a barn in the South Shropshire hills.
During the summer months I trade directly to the public at a number of fairs and festivals throughout England and Wales, and I also supply several shops.
I have also continued my interest in painting, drawing and sculpture and I have taught drawing skills.
I attended a stone carving course at the Portland Sculpture Trust and learnt traditional bronze casting techniques at a foundry near Arundel.
