Toltec warrior

Simon graduated from Brighton Poly with a BA in Fine Art (Painting) in 1985. He began designing and making models for a Brighton casting company, Lost Worlds, in 1992 and has created over 300 house and garden ornaments since that time. All the objects you see on this site have been designed and made by him.

Simon began trading under the name of 1066 Creations in 1996 from a small studio/workshop in Hove, East Sussex. At the beginning of 2000, he moved his casting and model-making activities to a barn in the South Shropshire hills.

During the summer months he trades directly to the public at a number of fairs and festivals throughout England and Wales, and also supplies a few shops.

Simon has continued his interest in painting and drawing and has taught drawing skills. You can see some examples of current work on his new website:

He also attended a stone carving course at the Portland Sculpture Trust and learnt traditional bronze casting techniques at a foundry near Arundel.

He is happy to quote for one-off and other commissions in any medium - please just contact him for an informal chat.
